Earth Science
This course covers a wide variety of topics like: astronomy, weather & climate, rocks & minerals, and plate tectonics. Every student is required to submit a minimum of 1200 minutes of passing lab work. In June, students are expected
to take the NYS Regents Exam in Physical Setting/Earth Science.

AP Computer Science Principles
AP CSP is designed to be an introductory college computing course. Students will be exposed to computer science: its impact on society, problem solving and logic skills, and some basic programming. These skills can be transferred to a variety of different disciplines/careers. During the year, students will develop computational artifacts, and communicate and reflect on their work either individually or collaboratively. The course culminates in the submission of two projects done during the year and a 2-hour multiple-choice exam administered during the AP testing time frame.
Regents Chemistry
In this class you will continue to hone your science skills by studying what is happening behind the scenes - smaller than the eye can see - in the world around us. We will be delving past the microscopic world into the world of atoms and molecules.
Chemistry is a challenging subject. It takes practice to progress through each and every topic. But chemistry is also very fun and exciting! My goal for the year is to make you question the world around you and for you to obtain a whole new appreciation for science. I hope that you learn to love chemistry as much as I do!
Throughout this course you will be acquainted with the topics: physical behavior of matter, atomic theory, nuclear chemistry, periodicity, chemical bonding and intermolecular forces, stoichiometry, solutions, kinetics and equilibrium, acids and bases, electrochemistry, and organic chemistry.
This course culminates in a Regents Examination. This exam will count for 20% of your overall course grade. In order to be eligible for this exam you must successfully complete a minimum of 1200 minutes of laboratory exercises.

Regents Physics
In this course you will continue your exploration of the science world. During the year you will learn about motion, forces, energy, electricity, waves, and modern physics. Physics is considered to be the hardest of all of the Regents Exams given to high school students. Through diligent practice, you can succeed. Always reach out for help as soon as possible.
This class will also culminates in a Regents Exam in June. The exam will count for 20% of your overall course grade. As with all of the Regents science courses, you will be required to complete a minimum of 1200 minutes of passing laboratory work to be eligible to take the exam.
